The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi is in trouble for defiling the memory of George Floyd who was killed in the USA by a Police officer.
The opposition communicator is facing backlash on social media over a photo he posted on Twitter.
The photo, which makes reference to the murder of an African-American man, George Floyd, is in protest to the Electoral Commission’s compilation of a new voters’ roll.
The EC Chairperson Jean Mensa is seen in a cartoon kneeling on a book placed on the neck of a handcuffed man with President Akufo-Addo kneeling on the man as well.
The firebrand politician, in response to the backlash, insists the post is not a mockery of the racist killing of George Floyd in the US.
Scores of responses to the post say the post should be taken down, but Mr. Gyamfi is adamant.
